TO EXTEND THE CONGRATULATIONS OF THE MEMBERS OF THE SOUTH CAROLINA GENERAL ASSEMBLY TO THE WARDLAW ACADEMY "PATRIOTS" FOOTBALL TEAM OF EDGEFIELD COUNTY ON CAPTURING THE 1999 SOUTH CAROLINA INDEPENDENT SCHOOLS ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION (SCISA) CLASS A STATE CHAMPIONSHIP TITLE.

Whereas, the Wardlaw Academy Patriots claimed the 1999 South Carolina Independent Schools Athletic Association (SCISA) Class A football State Championship this fall; and

Whereas, the Patriots ended the 1999 season with a 10 and 3 record and defeated Carolina Academy in an exciting 30 to 28 title game; and

Whereas, the 1999 Patriots were clearly one of South Carolina's premier football teams and the product of a superb football program; and

Be it resolved by the Senate, the House of Representatives concurring:

That, by this resolution, the members of the South Carolina General Assembly congratulate the Wardlaw Academy "Patriots" football team of Edgefield County on capturing the 1999 (SCISA) Class A state championship.
