A SENATE RESOLUTION

CONGRATULATING MR. AND MRS. DALE F. MOSELEY OF EDGEFIELD COUNTY ON THE HAPPY OCCASION OF THEIR FIFTIETH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY AND EXTENDING TO THEM BEST WISHES OF THE SENATE FOR MANY MORE YEARS TOGETHER.

Whereas, Whereas Dale Francis Moseley, son of Henry Thomas and Leila Wideman Moseley, was born and raised in McCormick County, South Carolina; and

Whereas, Mary Lee McCullough Moseley, daughter of Oscar Leonard and Ruby Brogdan McCullough, was born and raised in Warrenville, South Carolina; and

Whereas, Dale Francis Moseley and Mary Lee McCullough met in Aiken County and exchanged vows on June 23, 1950 at the Church of God in Warrenville, South Carolina, beginning a half century of devotion and commitment to one another; and

Whereas, Dale is known by his family and friends as a honored veteran of World War II and loyal and treasured employee of the Graniteville Company (Avondale Mills) for 46 years; and

Whereas, Mary is known by her family and friends as a longstanding, dedicated and valued member of the American Legion Auxiliary and a loyal and treasured employee of Star Fibers/Martin Color Fi for 26 years; and

Whereas, since their marriage both Dale and Mary have been lifelong residents of Edgefield County and lifelong members of the Edgefield United Methodist Church; and

Whereas, on June 25, 2000 the Edgefield United Methodist Church will be the site for a grand celebration hosted by their children Kenneth Dale and Lori Cohen Moseley of Miramar, Florida and Loyd Brogdan Moseley and Patricia Ann Moseley of Edgefield County; and

Whereas, Dale and Mary Moseley are a shining example of the rewards and happiness which come from a life of mutual devotion and support.

Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the Senate:

That the Members of the South Carolina Senate congratulate Mr. and Mrs. Dale F. Moseley of Edgefield County on the happy occasion of their fiftieth wedding anniversary and extend to them best wishes of the Senate for many more years together.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Mr. and Mrs. Dale F. Moseley.
