TO APPROVE REGULATIONS OF THE DEPARTMENT OF LABOR, LICENSING AND REGULATION, BOARD OF LONG TERM HEALTH CARE ADMINISTRATORS, RELATING TO EXAMINATION; SCHEDULING AND GRADING, DESIGNATED AS REGULATION DOCUMENT NUMBER 2309, PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF ARTICLE 1, CHAPTER 23, TITLE 1 OF THE 1976 CODE.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. The regulations of the Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation, Board of Long Term Health Care Administrators, relating to examination; scheduling and grading, designated as Regulation Document Number 2309, and submitted to the General Assembly pursuant to the provisions of Article 1, Chapter 23, Title 1 of the 1976 Code, are approved.
SECTION 2. This joint resolution takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
The Board of Long Term Health Care Administrators is considering drafting regulations to allow nursing home administrator applicants and community residential care facility administrator applicants to sit for computer based testing instead of the written licensure examination. The regulation would also require community residential care facility administrator applicants to pass both the national examination and the state examination for licensure. Both of the national nursing home administrator and residential care administrator examinations will only be offered as computer based testing in the year 2000.
