TO APPROVE REGULATIONS OF CLEMSON UNIVERSITY, RELATING TO NONMOTORIZED VEHICLES, DESIGNATED AS REGULATION DOCUMENT NUMBER 2219, PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF ARTICLE 1, CHAPTER 23, TITLE 1 OF THE 1976 CODE.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. The regulations of Clemson University, relating to nonmotorized vehicles, designated as Regulation Document Number 2219, and submitted to the General Assembly pursuant to the provisions of Article 1, Chapter 23, Title 1 of the 1976 Code, are approved.
SECTION 2. This joint resolution takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
This is a new regulation, designed to control nonmotorized means of transportation on Clemson University campus. It recognizes nonmotorized vehicles as legitimate means of transportation, defines nonmotorized vehicles, provides for the regulation of cycles and skates (as defined), generally prohibits acrobatic maneuvers, and provides for penalties.
