A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

CONGRATULATING THE PASTOR, OFFICERS, AND MEMBERS OF THE NEW LIGHT BEULAH BAPTIST OUTREACH CENTER IN RICHLAND COUNTY ON THE CELEBRATION OF ITS SECOND ANNIVERSARY OPEN HOUSE.

Whereas, the New Light Beulah Baptist Outreach Center of Richland County under the pastorship of Dr. Jeremiah Tillman will celebrate its Second Anniversary Open House on April 24, 1999; and

Whereas, the accomplishments of the "Empowering Our Boys for Godly Success Ministry" will be highlighted during that celebration; and

Whereas, the core objectives of the "Empowering Our Boys for Godly Success Ministry" are helping young men: make a successful transition from boyhood to manhood; build self-esteem through participating in cultural enrichment programs; set short and long term goals for themselves; and improve their academic abilities; and

Whereas, under Dr. Tillman's leadership, the officers and members of the New Light Beulah Baptist Outreach Center have successfully developed and implemented educational activities designed to assist its youth improve their academic achievements and have established a network of potential and permanent contributors to provide financial support for the numerous activities the congregation has undertaken; and

Whereas, the members of the General Assembly want to take this opportunity to congratulate and commend the New Light Beulah Baptist Outreach Center family on its Second Anniversary. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:

That the members of the General Assembly congratulate Dr. Jeremiah Tillman, Pastor of New Light Beulah Baptist Outreach Center, and the church's officers and members on its Second Anniversary Open House Celebration.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to Dr. Jeremiah Tillman, Pastor, New Light Beulah Baptist Outreach Center.
