AN ACT TO AMEND ACT 321 OF 1969, AS AMENDED, RELATING TO THE CREATION OF THE DRAYTON FIRE DISTRICT IN SPARTANBURG COUNTY, SO AS TO INCREASE THE AMOUNT THE BOARD OF FIRE CONTROL MAY BORROW FROM FIVE HUNDRED THOUSAND TO SEVEN HUNDRED FIFTY THOUSAND DOLLARS.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
Amount board may borrow increased
SECTION 1. Section 5(h) of Act 321 of 1969, as last amended by Act 498 of 1998, is further amended to read:
"(h) To borrow not exceeding seven hundred fifty thousand dollars on such terms and for such a period as to the fire control board may seem most beneficial for the fire district in anticipation of taxes. The indebtedness shall be evidenced by a note issued by the members of the board and the county treasurer. The full faith, credit, and taxing power of the Drayton Fire District is hereby irrevocably pledged for the payment of the indebtedness."
Time effective
SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
Ratified the 23rd day of February, 2000.
Approved the 25th day of February, 2000.
