A HOUSE RESOLUTION

TO EXPRESS THE APPRECIATION OF THE MEMBERS OF THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES TO CUSTODIAN ALFONSO "FONZIE" BROWN FOR THIRTY-EIGHT YEARS OF DEDICATED SERVICE TO THE STUDENTS, FACULTY, AND STAFF OF TRAVELERS REST HIGH SCHOOL.

Whereas, Mr. Alfonso "Fonzie" Brown has served as custodian at Travelers Rest High School in the School District of Greenville County for thirty-eight years, and in those years gone far above and beyond his duties in caring for the school's physical plant in providing a positive role model for generations of students; and

Whereas, his character, loyalty, perseverance, work ethic, and good humor have contributed immeasurably to the success of the educational process at Travelers Rest High School and thereby improving the life of the community; and

Whereas, in his quiet way, has chided those who needed it, encouraged those who needed encouraging, and befriended those who needed a friend; and

Whereas, his outstanding qualities and long tenure have earned him the respect and appreciation of the school's students, faculty, and staff most recently indicated by ceremonies to recognize him during half-time at the Travelers Rest - Berea boy's basketball game; and

Whereas, it is appropriate for the members of the House of Representatives to pause in their deliberations so that they might add their voices to those already honoring Mr. Brown. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:

That the members of the House of Representatives, by this resolution, express their appreciation to custodian Alfonso "Fonzie" Brown for thirty-eight years of dedicated service to the students, faculty, and staff of Travelers Rest High School.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Mr. Alfonso Brown.
