TO APPROVE REGULATIONS OF THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION, RELATING TO SPECIFIC INFORMATION SERVICE SIGNING, DESIGNATED AS REGULATION DOCUMENT NUMBER 2459, PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF ARTICLE 1, CHAPTER 23, TITLE 1 OF THE 1976 CODE.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. The regulations of the Department of Transportation, relating to specific information service signing, designated as Regulation Document Number 2459, and submitted to the General Assembly pursuant to the provisions of Article 1, Chapter 23, Title 1 of the 1976 Code, are approved.
SECTION 2. This joint resolution takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
The department proposes to amend 63-338 to allow trailblazer signs for businesses participating in the logo programs which are not easily accessed from the main traveled way; to modify the criteria for food businesses to participate in the logo program; to allow six businesses to be displayed on a service panel for one direction of a double interchange sign if less than three businesses are present to participate from the other direction; and to provide for attraction signing.
