A BILL

TO PROVIDE FOR THE AUTHORIZED TAX MILLAGE FOR THE OPERATION OF THE SCHOOL DISTRICT OF AIKEN COUNTY BEGINNING WITH THE YEAR 1999, AND TO REPEAL ACT 268 OF 1989 AND ACT 579 OF 1994 RELATING TO AUTHORIZED TAX MILLAGE FOR THE SCHOOL DISTRICT OF AIKEN COUNTY.

Amend Title To Conform

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any other provision of law, for the year 1999, a tax millage of up to ninety-seven mills is authorized to be levied for the operations of the school district of Aiken County as determined by the governing board of the district.

SECTION 2. Act 268 of 1989 and Act 579 of 1994 are repealed.

SECTION 3. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
