A BILL

TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION 45-1-100 SO AS TO PROVIDE THAT FOR PURPOSES OF REGULATION OF FOOD PREPARATION AND SERVICE BY THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONTROL PURSUANT TO REGULATION 61-25, A SPECIAL EVENT INCLUDING COMMUNITY CELEBRATIONS, FESTIVALS, AND SPECIAL PROMOTIONS IS AN EVENT WHICH EXCEEDS FOUR DAYS.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION 1. The 1976 Code is amended by adding:

"Section 45-1-100. Notwithstanding any other provision of law, for purposes of regulation of food preparation and service by the Department of Health and Environmental Control pursuant to Regulation 61-25, a special event including, but not limited to, community celebrations, festivals, and special promotions is an event which exceeds four days."

SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
