To whom was referred a Bill (S. 608), to amend Act 286 of 1989, relating to the school districts in Hampton County, so as to authorize members of the board of trustees for School District 2 to receive one hundred dollars, etc., respectfully

A BILL

TO AMEND ACT 286 OF 1989, RELATING TO THE SCHOOL DISTRICTS IN HAMPTON COUNTY, SO AS TO AUTHORIZE MEMBERS OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR SCHOOL DISTRICT 2 TO RECEIVE ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS PER MEETING FOR THEIR ATTENDANCE.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION 1. Section 1(B) of Act 286 of 1989 is amended to read:

"(B) The Hampton County Treasurer shall pay all claims approved by a majority of the trustees of either district, on behalf of their respective district, provided sufficient funds are on deposit in the proper district account. Trustees in District 1 shall receive no salary but must be reimbursed for actual expenses incurred. Trustees in District 2 must be reimbursed for actual expenses incurred and must receive one hundred dollars per meeting for their attendance."

SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
