A JOINT RESOLUTION

TO APPROVE REGULATIONS OF THE DEPARTMENT OF LABOR, LICENSING AND REGULATION, OFFICE OF STATE FIRE MARSHAL, RELATING TO FIRE PREVENTION AND LIFE SAFETY REGARDING BUILDINGS, USE OF HAZARDOUS SUBSTANCES, EXPLOSIVES, SERVICE STATIONS, LIQUEFIED PETROLEUM GAS, TENTS, GRANDSTANDS AND AIR-SUPPORTED STRUCTURES, FIRE EXTINGUISHERS, LOCAL DETENTION FACILITIES, AND PROXIMATE AUDIENCE PYROTECHNICS DESIGNATED AS REGULATION DOCUMENT NUMBER 2410, PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF ARTICLE 1, CHAPTER 23, TITLE 1 OF THE 1976 CODE.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION 1. The regulations of the Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation, Office of State Fire Marshal, relating to fire prevention and life safety regarding buildings, use of hazardous substances, explosives, service stations, liquefied petroleum gas, tents, grandstands and air-supported structures, fire extinguishers, local detention facilities, and proximate audience pyrotechnics designated as Regulation Document Number 2410, and submitted to the General Assembly pursuant to the provisions of Article 1, Chapter 23, Title 1 of the 1976 Code, are approved.

SECTION 2. This joint resolution takes effect upon approval by the Governor.

Regulations are being considered to make revisions to regulations concerning fire prevention and life safety regarding buildings, use of hazardous substances, explosives, service stations, liquefied petroleum gas, tents, grandstands and air-supported structures, fire extinguishers - portable and fixed stations, fire safety in local detention facilities, and proximate audience pyrotechnics.
