A BILL

TO PROVIDE THAT THE STATE PORTS AUTHORITY MUST OBTAIN THE APPROVAL OF A MAJORITY OF THE BERKELEY COUNTY LEGISLATIVE DELEGATION PRIOR TO CONSTRUCTING A TERMINAL OR RAILROAD WITHIN THE BERKELEY COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION 1. In addition to any other provision of law, the State Ports Authority must obtain the approval of a majority of the Berkeley County Legislative Delegation prior to constructing a terminal or railroad within the Berkeley County School District.

SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
