TO COMMEND GERALD ROBINSON, PH.D., OF NINETY-SIX, FOR HIS OUTSTANDING CAREER AND SERVICE IN THE FIELD OF EDUCATION, TO CONGRATULATE HIM FOR HIS SUCCESSES AND ACHIEVEMENTS OVER MANY YEARS AS SUPERINTENDENT OF GREENWOOD SCHOOL DISTRICT 52, AND TO WISH HIM AND HIS FAMILY EVERY SUCCESS IN THE FUTURE ON THE OCCASION OF HIS RETIREMENT.
Whereas, Gerald Robinson, Ph.D., will be retiring on June 15, 2002, as superintendent of Greenwood School District 52; and
Whereas, the son of Ralph and Wilma Robinson, Dr. Robinson received his Bachelor's degree from the University of South Carolina, his Master's and Education Specialist from Western Carolina University, and his Doctorate from Nova University; and
Whereas, Dr. Robinson has served as teacher, principal, and superintendent in the McCormick County schools for seventeen years, and has been superintendent of Greenwood School District 52 for the past fifteen years; and
Whereas, Dr. Robinson and his wife Betsie have four children, Dawn, Debra, Douglas, and Diana, and are members of Siloam Baptist Church. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the Senate, the House of Representatives concurring:
That the members of the General Assembly, by this resolution, commend Gerald Robinson, Ph.D., of Ninety-Six, for his outstanding career and service in the field of education, congratulate him for his successes and achievements over many years as superintendent of Greenwood School District 52, and wish him and his family every success in the future on the occasion of his retirement.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to Gerald Robinson, Ph.D., of Ninety-Six.
