A BILL

TO AMEND SECTION 1-11-710, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO INSURANCE COVERAGE AVAILABLE TO ACTIVE AND RETIRED STATE EMPLOYEES, SO AS TO REQUIRE THE SELF-INSURED INSURANCE PLAN TO COVER THE FIRST TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS CHARGED FOR ONE ROUTINE OUT-OF-HOSPITAL PHYSICAL EXAMINATION FOR ELIGIBLE PARTICIPANTS.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION 1. Section 1-11-710 of the 1976 Code is amended by adding:

"(D) The self-insured insurance plan made available to employees shall include coverage for one annual routine out-of-the-hospital physical examination for all eligible participants for the first two hundred dollars charged for the examination."

SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
