A HOUSE RESOLUTION

TO RECOGNIZE AND CONGRATULATE DR. AND MRS. JACK JANZEN UPON THEIR RECEIPT OF A LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD PRESENTED BY THE PICKENS COUNTY REPUBLICAN PARTY.

Whereas, the members of the House of Representatives have learned and take notice that Dr. and Mrs. Jack Janzen have received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Pickens County Republican Party; and

Whereas, Jack and Betty Janzen came to Pickens County in the 1950's, and since then they have worked tirelessly to establish the Republican Party in Pickens County; and

Whereas, Dr. Janzen has served as the executive committeeman for the Pickens County Republican Party and the Secretary of the South Carolina Republican Party, and Mrs. Janzen has served as the parliamentarian for both county and state conventions. She has also served as president for the Republican Woman's Club and chairman of the Third District; and

Whereas, the dedication and commitment to the political process regardless of party affiliation is a high and honorable calling which men and women of all parties have answered over the years, and there is no better example of involved and concerned citizens than are Jack and Betty Janzen; and

Whereas, the members of the House of Representatives, by this resolution, would like to publicly recognize and congratulate these two fine South Carolinians on their receipt of this truly deserved award. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:

That the members of the House of Representatives recognize and congratulate Dr. and Mrs. Jack Janzen upon their receipt of a Lifetime Achievement Award presented by the Pickens County Republican Party.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Dr. and Mrs. Janzen.
