TO RECOGNIZE AND CONGRATULATE DR. AND MRS. VIRGIL MITCHELL UPON THEIR RECEIPT OF A LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD PRESENTED BY THE PICKENS COUNTY REPUBLICAN PARTY.

Whereas, the members of the House of Representatives have learned and take notice that Dr. and Mrs. Virgil Mitchell have received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Pickens County Republican Party; and

Whereas, Dr. and Mrs. Mitchell have worked hard and faithfully for the Republican Party in Pickens County since the 1980's; and

Whereas, Virgil and Mary Mitchell have organized precincts, manned and managed polls, recruited new members to the Pickens County Republican Party, and they are always ready to serve in any capacity needed; and

Whereas, the dedication and commitment to the political process regardless of party affiliation is a high and honorable calling which men and women of all parties have answered over the years, and there is no better example of involved and concerned citizens than are Virgil and Mary Mitchell; and

Whereas, the members of the House of Representatives, by this resolution, would like to publicly recognize and congratulate these two fine South Carolinians on their receipt of this truly deserved award. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:

That the members of the House of Representatives recognize and congratulate Dr. and Mrs. Virgil Mitchell upon their receipt of a Lifetime Achievement Award presented by the Pickens County Republican Party.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Dr. and Mrs. Virgil Mitchell.
