A BILL

TO AMEND SECTION 59-32-60, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO COMPLIANCE WITH THE STATE'S COMPREHENSIVE HEALTH EDUCATION PROGRAM, SO AS TO PROVIDE THAT THE ATTORNEY GENERAL MAY ENFORCE COMPLIANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS CONTAINED IN THE PROGRAM.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION    1.    Section 59-32-60 of the 1976 Code is amended to read:

    "Section 59-32-60.    The department shall assure district compliance with this chapter. Each local school board shall consider the programs addressed in this chapter in developing its annual district report. The attorney general also may enforce compliance with this chapter in a court of competent jurisdiction."

SECTION    2.    This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
