A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

TO COMMEND THE HONORABLE WILLIAM C. ANDERSON, JR., MUNICIPAL JUDGE OF THE CITY OF HAMPTON, FOR HIS DISTINGUISHED THIRTY-FIVE-YEAR CAREER ON THE BENCH UPON HIS RETIREMENT.

Whereas, the members of the General Assembly have learned that the Honorable William C. Anderson, Jr., Municipal Judge of the City of Hampton, will be retiring this year after thirty-five years of distinguished service on the bench; and

Whereas, Judge Anderson has been a licensed attorney for thirty-eight years in South Carolina. He was admitted to the bar on January 1, 1963, after graduating from the University of South Carolina Law School; and

Whereas, during his long career as a practicing attorney and judge, he has developed a reputation for ability, fairness, and compassion that has earned the respect of clients, litigants, and the many others with whom he has come into contact; and

Whereas, Judge Anderson is an avid outdoorsman who will now have more time for hunting and fishing as well as having more time for his wife, June and their son, Bill, and daughter, April; and

Whereas, the members of the General Assembly, by this resolution, would like to publicly recognize and thank this outstanding individual for thirty-five years of faithful service to the citizens of Hampton and the State of South Carolina upon his retirement as municipal judge. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:

That the members of the General Assembly commend the Honorable William C. Anderson, Jr., Municipal Judge of the City of Hampton, for his distinguished thirty-five-year career on the bench upon his retirement.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Judge Anderson.
