TO CONGRATULATE THE INDIAN LAND HIGH SCHOOL LADY WARRIORS SOFTBALL TEAM OF LANCASTER COUNTY ON WINNING ITS FOURTH CLASS A STATE CHAMPIONSHIP TITLE IN THE LAST FIVE YEARS.
Whereas, the 2001 Indian Land High School Lady Warriors Softball Team, led by Head Coach, Beth Griffin, assembled the right combination of skill, hard work, and determination to win the 2001 Class A State Championship, giving the team its fourth state title in the last five years; and
Whereas, the Lady Warriors ended the season with an astounding record of twenty-seven wins and seven losses; and
Whereas, led by Head Coach, Beth Griffin, and her Assistant Coaches, Tommy Patterson and Mark Barfield, the 2001 Lady Warriors Softball Team roster included: Samantha Rice, Amanda Boatwright, Beth Messer, Sarah Sink, Holly Martin, Cynthia Campbell, Lauren Weddington, Kimberly McClennen, Megan Smith, Kasey Moore, Jessica Mikles, Whitney Patterson, Heather Langley, Jessica Knox, Kerrie King, Sa Keta Hood, and Amy McClennen; and
Whereas, it is fitting and proper for the members of the House of Representatives to pause in their deliberations to recognize the accomplishments of the 2001 Indian Land High School Lady Warriors Softball Team. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:
That the House of Representatives of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, congratulates the Indian Land High School Lady Warriors Softball Team of Lancaster County on winning its fourth Class A State Championship Title in the last five years.
Be it further resolved that copies of this resolution be presented to Head Coach, Beth Griffin, Athletic Director, Bill Owens, and Principal, Dr. Paula M. Tucker.
