TO EXPRESS THE PROFOUND SORROW OF THE MEMBERS OF THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF SOUTH CAROLINA UPON THE DEATH OF MR. IVAN MILLER OF RICHLAND COUNTY AND TO EXTEND DEEPEST SYMPATHY TO HIS FAMILY AND MANY FRIENDS.
Whereas, Ivan Miller was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the son of the late Harold "Groucho" Miller and Ethel Luberoff Miller; and
Whereas, he was the owner of Groucho's Delicatessen in the Five Points section of the City of Columbia; and
Whereas, Mr. Miller was Membership Chairman and on the Board of the Capital Senior Center, a Silver Head Legislator, Commander of the American Legion Post 6, and a faithful member of the Tree of Life Congregation; and
Whereas, he is survived by his wife, Mrs. Faye Goldberg Miller, one daughter and two sons; and
Whereas, the members of the House of Representatives, by this resolution, extend their deepest sympathy and heartfelt condolences to his family and many friends upon their loss. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:
That the members of the House of Representatives of the State of South Carolina hereby express their profound sorrow and deepest sympathy to the family and many friends of Mr. Ivan Miller of Richland County, one of the most dedicated leaders in his community, upon his death.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the family of Mr. Ivan Miller.
