A HOUSE RESOLUTION

TO EXPRESS THE DEEPEST SYMPATHY OF THE MEMBERS OF THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES TO THE FAMILY OF MRS. ROSA MITCHUM LAW OF MONCKS CORNER, MOTHER OF OUR FRIEND AND COLLEAGUE, REPRESENTATIVE JAMES N. LAW, UPON HER RECENT DEATH.

Whereas, the members of the House of Representatives were deeply saddened to learn of the death last month of Mrs. Rosa Mitchum Law of Moncks Corner, mother of our friend and colleague, Representative James N. Law; and

Whereas, Mrs. Law was born in Bonneau, South Carolina, and was the wife of the late Norris Law, Sr. She was also the mother of seven outstanding children, fifteen grandchildren, and twenty-three great-grandchildren, of whom she was extraordinarily proud; and

Whereas, she was widely known and respected throughout Moncks Corner and Berkeley County through her active membership in the First Baptist Church of Moncks Corner and her association with Law's Wholesale, Inc., her family's business, where she worked for over forty-two years; and

Whereas, this lovely lady touched the lives of many people in her community and State, and she will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved her; and

Whereas, the members of the House of Representatives, by this resolution, would like to extend their sincere condolences to the entire Law family in this time of sorrow. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:

That the members of the House express their deepest sympathy to the family of Mrs. Rosa Mitchum Law of Moncks Corner, mother of our friend and colleague, Representative James N. Law, upon her recent death.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the Law family in care of Representative James N. Law.
