A HOUSE RESOLUTION

TO COMMEND AND CONGRATULATE MARYANNE G. MOORE, OF CLARENDON COUNTY, UPON RECEIPT OF THE 2001 DISTINGUISHED SERVICE AWARD FROM THE SOUTH CAROLINA ASSOCIATION OF SCHOOL ADMINISTRATORS AND TO THANK HER FOR HER CONTINUED DEDICATION TO THE FIELD OF EDUCATION IN SOUTH CAROLINA.

Whereas, the members of the House of Representatives of the State of South Carolina are proud to recognize MaryAnne G. Moore for receiving the Distinguished Service Award and honored to have someone so dedicated to the field of education as an example to the State; and

Whereas, MaryAnne G. Moore was honored with the Distinguished Service Award during the South Carolina Association of School Administrators Adult Education Summer Conference held at Myrtle Beach, from the 14th to the 17th of June 2001; and

Whereas, as a stellar example of what a community educator should be, Ms. Moore has enthusiastically served on the Association of Community Education Board for the last three years; and

Whereas, without the steady force of people like MaryAnne G. Moore, the students of Clarendon County and the State of South Carolina would miss many wonderful learning opportunities; and

Whereas, the House of Representatives is delighted to honor MaryAnne G. Moore for her continued devotion to education and her receipt of the Distinguished Service Award. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:

That the members of the House of Representatives of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, commend and congratulate MaryAnne G. Moore upon her receiving the 2001 Distinguished Service Award from the South Carolina Association of School Administrators and thank her for her continued dedication to the field of education in South Carolina.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to MaryAnne G. Moore.
