A HOUSE RESOLUTION

TO RECOGNIZE AND COMMEND OUR NATION'S POLICE HEROES FOUNDATION, A GREAT ORGANIZATION WHICH HONORS POLICE OFFICERS' ACTIONS ABOVE AND BEYOND THE CALL OF DUTY.

Whereas, Our Nation's Police Heroes Foundation is an organization comprised of retired law enforcement officers and their families and friends. The foundation publicly honors law enforcement personnel who have gone beyond the call of duty or put themselves in grave physical danger to save lives; and

Whereas, the foundation honors one hero each month from nominations made by coworkers or other citizens from the Southern Georgia/Coastal South Carolina Region; and

Whereas, the foundation should be congratulated for being granted South Carolina Charitable Organization status; and

Whereas, Our Nation's Police Heroes Foundation offers training for law enforcement personnel in an effort to make them all like the heroes the foundation recognizes each month; and

Whereas, Our Nation's Police Heroes Foundation is to establish a National Museum and Hall of Fame located on Hilton Head Island, in Beaufort County, in the State of South Carolina, as a permanent reminder of the actions and sacrifices by police officers having performed above and beyond the call of duty. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:

That the members of the House of Representatives of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, recognize and commend Our Nation's Police Heroes Foundation, a great organization which honors police officers' actions above and beyond the call of duty.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to Our Nation's Police Heroes Foundation.
