TO COMMEND AND CONGRATULATE RHETT TABER, JR., OF FORT MOTTE, WHO CAME IN FIRST PLACE IN THE INT AMATEUR SKI TOURNAMENT FIRST CLASS IN HOUSTON, TEXAS, TO RECOGNIZE THE TEAM BUOY CREEK WATER SKIERS, AND TO WISH THEM MUCH SUCCESS IN THEIR FUTURE ENDEAVORS.
Whereas, the members of the General Assembly applaud the exceptional skiing exhibited by Rhett Taber, Jr., of Fort Motte and the Team Buoy Creek water skiers at the INT Amateur Ski Tournament at Terramarre Ski Lake in Houston, Texas; and
Whereas, this was the first national tournament for Rhett Taber, Jr., and he competed in and won the First Class; and
Whereas, Rhett Taber, Jr., is the youngest member of the Team Buoy Creek water skiers. Other members of the team include Patty Ware, Johnny Ware, Russell O'Cain, Sherry O'Cain, and Ken Lane; and
Whereas, Rhett Taber, Jr.'s, first place win, along with Johnny Ware's first place finish in the Wide Super Class and strong finishes by other members of the team made South Carolina the overall winner of the competition; and
Whereas, this win marks the third time out of four competitions that South Carolina has won first place; and
Whereas, it is appropriate for the members of the General Assembly to pause in their deliberations so that they might recognize and honor the outstanding skiing ability of Rhett Taber, Jr., and the accomplishments of the Team Buoy Creek water skiers. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:
That the members of the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, commend and congratulate Rhett Taber, Jr., of Fort Motte, who came in first place in the INT Amateur Ski Tournament First Class in Houston, Texas, recognize the Team Buoy Creek water skiers, and wish them much success in their future endeavors.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Rhett Taber, Jr., of Fort Motte, South Carolina.
