A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

CONGRATULATING THE GEORGETOWN MIDDLE SCHOOL CHEERLEADING SQUAD ON WINNING THE ECA NATIONAL CHEERLEADING CHAMPIONSHIP IN WILLIAMSBURG, VIRGINIA.

Whereas, the Georgetown Middle School Cheerleading Squad has won the ECA National Cheerleading Championship; and

Whereas, schools from twenty-two states in the eastern United States participated in the two-day annual competition in Williamsburg, Virginia; and

Whereas, this was the second consecutive year that the Georgetown Middle School cheerleaders were invited to the contest, and the 2002 competition paid off handsomely for the young ladies coached by Ms. Carolyn Casselman; and

Whereas, we are delighted to be able to recognize these young ladies in this special manner. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:

That the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution,s congratulates the Georgetown Middle School Cheerleading Squad on winning the ECA National Cheerleading Championship in Williamsburg, Virginia.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the Georgetown Middle School Cheerleading Squad, in care of Coach Carolyn Casselman.
