TO RECOGNIZE THE WORLD WAR II VETERANS FROM THE PEE DEE AREA OF SOUTH CAROLINA AND HONOR THEIR BRAVE EXAMPLE OF SELFLESS SERVICE.
Whereas, the Pee Dee area of South Carolina is home to many courageous veterans of World War II; and
Whereas, those veterans are being recognized and honored on April 13, 2002, for their selfless service by their neighbors for whom they won a hard-fought peace; and
Whereas, it is a privilege for the House of Representatives of the State of South Carolina to join in that grateful acknowledgement of these men: W.A. Beaty; Russell S. Brown; Cecil Dilworth; W.H. Edgerton; John E. Floyd; Wallace Fulmer; Thad Gaddy; Roland J. Gannon; Roger K. Hatfield; Thomas E. Hill; Robert T. Hock; Nathan C. Kale; Woodrow J. Lankford; Ray J. Legette; Marion D. Lucas, Jr.; Elliott R. Maxwell; William C. McNeil; Joshua P. Moore; Clarence D. Myers; Olin L. Purvis, Jr.; John G. Rae; John G. Rose, Jr.; William E. Seymore; Alexander M. Stanton; Jesse Temple; Don Tunstall; Joseph E. Turner; Warren Walkup; Joe Webb; E.L. Whitley; John W. Wilkinson; Edward L. Young; and Charles F. Rogers. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:
That the members of the House of Representatives recognize the World War II Veterans from the Pee Dee area of South Carolina and honor their brave example of selfless service.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to these World War II veterans.
