A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

CONGRATULATING THE LAKE CITY HIGH SCHOOL WRESTLING TEAM OF FLORENCE COUNTY ON WINNING THE 2002 SOUTH CAROLINA WRESTLING COACHES ASSOCIATION INDIVIDUAL TOURNAMENT STATE CHAMPIONSHIP.

Whereas, the Lake City High School Wrestling Team of Florence County has won the 2002 South Carolina Wrestling Coaches Association Individual Tournament State Championship; and

Whereas, the team was the Region 6, Class AAA champion for 2002 and posted a stellar overall season record of 33-1; the team had an undefeated region record for 2002; Lake City High had the most state champions in one year (four) and the most state medalists in one year (six); and there were four individual state champions for 2002; and

Whereas, Lake City is also undefeated in region competition for the past three years with a remarkable 28-0 record; and

Whereas, the team, guided by Head Coach, Mark Tillotson, and Assistant Coach, Kevin Graham, demonstrated great talent, expertise, hard work, discipline, and unity in the 2002 season and is to be highly commended. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:

That the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, congratulates the Lake City High School Wrestling Team of Florence County on winning the 2002 South Carolina Wrestling Coaches Association Individual Tournament State Championship.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the Lake City High School Wrestling Team and coaches.
