A BILL

TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION 20-7-1556 SO AS TO REQUIRE CLERKS OF COURT TO MAINTAIN FOR PUBLIC INSPECTION A RECORD OF THE AMOUNT OF FEES PAID TO EACH INDIVIDUAL SERVING AS A GUARDIAN AD LITEM IN CASES IN THAT COUNTY.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION    1.    The 1976 Code is amended by adding:

    "Section 20-7-1556.    The clerk of court shall maintain for public inspection a record of the fees paid to each individual guardian ad litem serving in cases in that county."

SECTION    2.    This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
