A HOUSE RESOLUTION

TO EXTEND THE CONGRATULATIONS OF THE MEMBERS OF THE SOUTH CAROLINA HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES TO THE CHERAW HIGH SCHOOL "BRAVES" BOYS GOLF TEAM AND HEAD COACH ROD NILLER ON WINNING THE 2002 CLASS AA STATE GOLF CHAMPIONSHIP.

Whereas, the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives are proud to have the opportunity to recognize the Cheraw High School "Braves" Boys Golf Team of Chesterfield County and share in their joy of capturing the 2002 Class AA State Golf Championship; and

Whereas, this exceptional golf team has won Cheraw High School's first ever state championship in school history; and

Whereas, the "Braves" shot the tournament-low round of 312 the second day and came from 9 shots down to win the 2002 Class AA State Golf Championship; and

Whereas, this impressive level of competition could not have been accomplished without the excellent coaching abilities of Head Coach Rod Niller, along with his Assistant Coach Matt Brantley; and

Whereas, the Cheraw "Braves" Golf Team consisted of: Matt Bennett, Baker Elmore, McArn Bennett, Adam Sellers, McCuen Elmore, Walker Davis, Cody Chewning, Will Tillman, and Bryan Crawford; and

Whereas, these fine young athletes have brought great pride and recognition not only upon Cheraw High School and its loyal and enthusiastic students and supporters, but also to the State of South Carolina. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:

That the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives, by this resolution, congratulate the Cheraw High School "Braves" Boys Golf Team and Head Coach Rod Niller on winning the 2002 Class AA State Golf Championship.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to Head Coach Rod Niller.
