VERSIONS OF THIS BILL
TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION 40-13-305 SO AS TO REQUIRE BEAUTY SALONS AND BEAUTY SCHOOLS, AS A CONDITION OF LICENSURE AND RENEWAL OF LICENSURE, TO OBTAIN LIABILITY INSURANCE OF AT LEAST ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. Chapter 13, Title 40 of the 1976 Code is amended by adding:
"Section 40-13-305. To obtain and renew a license, beauty salons and beauty schools shall submit, in the manner prescribed by the board, proof of liability insurance of at least one hundred thousand dollars."
SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
