VERSIONS OF THIS BILL
TO CONGRATULATE THE REVEREND F. KEITH SLAUGHTER ON HIS INSTALLATION AS PASTOR OF THE HISTORIC FRIENDSHIP AFRICAN BAPTIST CHURCH OF AIKEN COUNTY ON DECEMBER 8, 2002, AND TO WISH HIM AND HIS CHURCH GROWTH IN NUMBERS AND GOD'S GRACE.
Whereas, the Reverend F. Keith Slaughter began serving the congregation of the historic Friendship African Baptist Church of Aiken County on October 28, 2002 and was installed as pastor of the church on December 8, 2002; and
Whereas, serving his flock with the love of the Lord, the Reverend Slaughter has dedicated his time and talents to serving children with special needs, persons with mental illness and distress, and persons with difficult substance abuse problems; and
Whereas, throughout his ministries he has been honored by the religious, educational, and social services communities for his outstanding contributions toward the uplifting of all God's children; and
Whereas, he is renowned for his powerful preaching and eloquent sermons and is a role model to all who know him, expressing to all that all things are possible through Christ who gives us strength; and
Whereas, he is married to Arnette, the love of his life, and together they have been blessed with three beautiful children, Mariah, L. S., age 6, F. Keith II, age 4, and Mahli B.K., age 1; and
Whereas, we are pleased to have this opportunity to recognize the Reverend Slaughter as he continues his journey at his new calling with the historic Friendship African Baptist Church. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:
That the members of the South Carolina General Assembly, by this resolution, congratulate the Reverend F. Keith Slaughter on his installation as pastor of the historic Friendship African Baptist Church of Aiken County on December 8, 2002, and wish him and his church growth in numbers and God's grace.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the Reverend F. Keith Slaughter.
