A HOUSE RESOLUTION

TO COMMEND LEILA P. MCMILLAN OF MCCORMICK COUNTY FOR HER CONTRIBUTION TO THE MCCORMICK COUNTY SENIOR CENTER AT WHICH SHE HAS SERVED AS EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR SINCE ITS CREATION AND CONGRATULATE HER ON THE OCCASION OF HER RETIREMENT AFTER THIRTY-ONE YEARS OF SERVICE.

Whereas, Leila P. McMillan has served with distinction as the Executive Director of the McCormick County Senior Center from the creation of the agency in 1972; and

Whereas, she serves as an advocate for the senior citizens of the county; and

Whereas, Mrs. McMillan has served as a source of strength for the McCormick community; and

Whereas, she is committed to providing excellent services to seniors with an attitude of respect and dignity to seniors; and

Whereas, Mrs. McMillan always has a desire to help the community as a whole through the facilities and services of the Senior Center; and

Whereas, her legacy as a tireless worker for the needs of senior citizens will endure for years to come; and

Whereas, in honor of Leila P. McMillan's thirty-one years of service to the community, the members of the House of Representatives offer their heartfelt thanks and commendation to Mrs. McMillan; and

Whereas, the members of the House of Representatives hold her up to all citizens as a true leader who worked for success for all people of the county without concern for personal credit or acclaim and wish to express their best wishes on the occasion of her retirement. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:

That the members of the House of Representatives commend Leila P. McMillan of McCormick County for her contribution to the McCormick County Senior Center at which she has served as Executive Director since its creation and congratulate her on the occasion of her retirement after thirty-one years of service.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Mrs. McMillan.
