A HOUSE RESOLUTION

TO COMMEND THE ORGANIZERS AND PARTICIPANTS OF THE GREAT IRMO EASTER EGG HUNT TO BE HELD ON SATURDAY, APRIL 19, 2003, FOR THEIR COMMUNITY SPIRIT AND LEADERSHIP IN HOSTING OR PARTICIPATING IN THIS DELIGHTFUL EVENT.

Whereas, the Great Irmo Easter Egg Hunt will be held Saturday, April 19, 2003, at the Sports Fields of the Northwest YMCA: and

Whereas, this outstanding community event is sponsored jointly by Lakewood Church and Northwest YMCA; and

Whereas, this will mark the third anniversary of the Easter egg hunt where hundreds of Irmo area children from toddlers through age eight will compete for over one thousand grand prizes donated by forty-three area sponsors; and

Whereas, this fun-filled family event is a wonderful example of community spirit and fellowship; and

Whereas, the members of the House of Representatives, by this resolution, would like to publicly recognize and commend the organizers and participants of the Great Irmo Easter Egg Hunt for their involvement with this truly delightful community endeavor. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:

That the members of the House of Representatives commend the organizers and participants of the Great Irmo Easter Egg Hunt to be held on Saturday, April 19, 2003, for their community spirit and leadership in hosting or participating in this delightful event.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Missie H. Dowey, Director of the Great Irmo Easter Egg Hunt.
