VERSIONS OF THIS BILL
TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION 11-9-815 SO AS TO PROVIDE THAT EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 2003, THE BOARD OF ECONOMIC ADVISORS ORGANIZATIONALLY SHALL BE A DIVISION OR OFFICE OF THE DEPARTMENT OF REVENUE RATHER THAN A DIVISION OR OFFICE OF THE STATE BUDGET AND CONTROL BOARD, AND TO PROVIDE THAT THE MEMBERSHIP, DUTIES, FUNCTIONS, AND STAFF OF THE BOARD OF ECONOMIC ADVISORS SHALL REMAIN THE SAME.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. Chapter 9 of Title 11 of the 1976 Code is amended by adding:
"Section 11-9-815. Effective July 1, 2003, the Board of Economic Advisors organizationally shall be a division or office of the Department of Revenue rather than a division or office of the State Budget and Control Board. The membership, duties, functions, and staff of the Board of Economic Advisors shall remain the same."
SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
