A HOUSE RESOLUTION

TO CONGRATULATE THE WILSON HALL "LADY BARONS" GIRLS TRACK TEAM ON WINNING THEIR SECOND STRAIGHT STATE TITLE, TO COMMEND THEM FOR THEIR HARD WORK AND DEDICATION, AND TO WISH THEM MUCH SUCCESS IN ALL OF THEIR FUTURE ENDEAVORS.

Whereas, the Wilson Hall girls track team successfully defended their state title at the South Carolina Independent Schools Association meet; and

Whereas, in order to win the meet, the "Lady Barons" captured first place in the Triple Jump, and were able to secure six second place finishes, four third place finishes, three fourth place finishes, four fifth place finishes, and three sixth place finishes; and

Whereas, Wilson Hall set two school records with Hannah Harrelson in the eight hundred meter and Jenn Pommerenke in the thirty-two hundred meter; and

Whereas, the Wilson Hall girls track team was ably trained and led by Coach Stacy Ard, who instilled the competitive spirit and teamwork it took for the "Lady Barons" to become state champions for the second time; and

Whereas, Wilson Hall was able to secure the victory with their depth, which is essential to win the state meet. Other members of the team who contributed to the victory include Katherine Dwight, Mollie Sharp, Alix Pommerenke, Lauren Crabbe, Danielle Weible, Erin Lovelace, Katie Welch, Jordan Kinder, and Wesley Shaw; and

Whereas, the members of the House of Representatives are proud to honor the Wilson Hall girls track team for winning their second state title. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:

That the members of the House of Representatives, by this resolution, congratulate the Wilson Hall "Lady Barons" girls track team on winning their second straight state title, commend them for their hard work and dedication, and wish them much success in all of their future endeavors.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the Wilson Hall girls track team.
