A HOUSE RESOLUTION

TO CONGRATULATE RON KANE OF YORK COUNTY ON BEING NAMED THE 2003 PLANT MANAGER OF THE YEAR BY THE NATIONAL SCHOOL PLANT MANAGERS ASSOCIATION, TO COMMEND HIM FOR HIS HARD WORK, DEDICATION, AND COMMITMENT TO PUBLIC SERVICE AND TO WISH HIM MUCH SUCCESS IN ALL OF HIS FUTURE ENDEAVORS.

Whereas, Mr. Ron Kane, the Managing Director of Rock Hill school district facilities, was named the 2003 Plant Manager of the Year by the National School Plant Managers Association, which represents twenty thousand school districts nationwide; and

Whereas, Mr. Kane has been a dedicated employee of the Rock Hill school districts for many years and has continually worked to perfect his skills and improve efficiency; and

Whereas, he has assembled a manual of more than two hundred pages instructing employees on the maintenance of the school districts' facilities, which comprise the largest physical plant in York County; and

Whereas, Mr. Kane's pursuit of excellence and meticulous attention to detail have provided immeasurable savings to the school districts and taxpayers of York County; and

Whereas, Mr. Kane's outstanding qualities as a leader are reflected not only in his exceptional performance but also in his relationships with his fifty co-workers, whom he credits for his success in overseeing the three hundred plus buildings on twenty-eight school campuses; and

Whereas, the members of the House of Representatives are proud to recognize such an exceptional public servant and favored son of South Carolina for his outstanding contributions to the public good. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:

That the members of the House of Representatives, by this resolution, congratulate Ron Kane of York County on being named the 2003 Plant Manager of the Year by the National School Plant Managers Association, commend him for his hard work, dedication, and commitment to public service and wish him much success in all of his future endeavors.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Ron Kane of York County.
