A HOUSE RESOLUTION

TO EXTEND THE APPRECIATION OF THE MEMBERS OF THE SOUTH CAROLINA HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES TO DR. LEWIS EDGAR GREENE AND HIS WIFE, MRS. PHYLLIS GREENE, UPON THEIR RETIREMENT FOR THEIR MANY YEARS OF SERVICE TO NEW PROSPECT BAPTIST CHURCH, THEIR COMMUNITY, AND THE STATE OF SOUTH CAROLINA, AND TO WISH THEM THE VERY BEST IN ALL OF THEIR FUTURE ENDEAVORS.

Whereas, Dr. Lewis Edgar Greene and his wife, Mrs. Phyllis Greene, have for many years served as the pastor and the pastor's wife at New Prospect Baptist Church; and

Whereas, throughout their tenure at New Prospect Baptist Church they have served their community and State well by preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ; and

Whereas, it has come to the attention of the members of the House of Representatives that Dr. Greene and his wife are retiring from their duties at New Prospect Baptist Church; and

Whereas, the members of the House of Representatives believe that it is fitting and proper to pause in their deliberations to recognize them on the occasion of their retirement. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:

That the members of the House of Representatives of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, extend their sincere appreciation to Dr. Lewis Edgar Green and his wife, Mrs. Phyllis Greene, upon their retirement for their many years of service to New Prospect Baptist Church, their community, and the State of South Carolina, and to wish them the very best in all of their future endeavors.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Dr. Lewis Edgar Greene and Mrs. Phyllis Greene.
