VERSIONS OF THIS BILL
TO CONGRATULATE ZAM "BUCK" FREDRICK OF CALHOUN COUNTY HIGH SCHOOL FOR BEING NAMED "MR. BASKETBALL" FOR HIS OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE ON THE COURT DURING HIS HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL CAREER, AND TO WISH HIM MUCH SUCCESS IN HIS FUTURE ENDEAVORS.
Whereas, the House of Representatives is proud to recognize the accomplishments of exceptional young athletes like Zam "Buck" Fredrick of Calhoun County; and
Whereas, the Calhoun County High School Boys Basketball Team ended its season as Class AA Champions due in part to the brilliant performance of team leader Zam "Buck" Fredrick; and
Whereas, at the Colonial Center in Columbia on Saturday, March 6, 2004, Buck Fredrick and the Calhoun County basketball team defeated Lee Central High School 72-51, in an exciting championship game; and
Whereas, as the Saints' leading scorer, Buck Fredrick averages close to 35 points a game and has scored nearly 3, 500 points in his high school career to set a new state record for male high school basketball players; and
Whereas, in the final game of his high school basketball career Buck boasted 29 points with five assists, five steals, and four rebounds; and
Whereas, for his immense success Buck Fredrick was honored with the 2004 AA "Mr. Basketball" title; and
Whereas, Buck Fredrick has also been named SCBCA All-State for the past three years, was named to the All-State Team for the past four years, and has been named as the region 4-AA Player of the Year for the past four years; and
Whereas, with a future full of promise, Buck Fredrick received a full basketball scholarship to attend Georgia Tech in the fall; and
Whereas, it is with great pleasure that the members of the House of Representatives commend Zam "Buck" Fredrick for his tremendous accomplishments and wish him the best of luck as he embarks on a new basketball career at Georgia Tech. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:
That the members of the House of Representatives of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, congratulate Zam "Buck" Fredrick of Calhoun County High School for being named "Mr. Basketball" for his outstanding performance on the court during his high school basketball career and wish him much success in his future endeavors.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Zam "Buck" Fredrick of Calhoun County High School.
