Deliberations were opened with prayer by Rev. Charles E. Seastrunk, Jr. as follows:

Our thought for today is from Psalm 84:5: "Happy are those whose strength is in You, in whose heart are the highways to Zion."
Let us pray. Lord, You are the destination. Strengthen us for the journey set before us. Give us willing hearts to continue the work You have given us. Provide us with rest and renewed hope for tomorrow and beyond. Lord, in Your mercy hear our prayer. Amen.
