The House assembled at 10:00 a.m.
Deliberations were opened with prayer by Rev. Charles E. Seastrunk, Jr. as follows:
Our thought for the day is from Psalm 31:24: "Be strong and let your heart take courage; all who wait for the Lord."
Let us pray. Heavenly Father, mindful of Your mercies in the past, support us now, we pray, when we falter or feel overwhelmed. Let us never doubt Your presence or Your care, but show us the way You direct us in our life and work. Hear our prayer, O God. Amen.
