INVITATIONS AND MEMORIAL RESOLUTIONS

To whom was referred a Concurrent Resolution (S. 236) to request the Department of Transportation to name the Beaver Creek Bridge on South Carolina Highway 97 in Kershaw County in honor of the late Senior State Trooper Michael J. Rao, etc., respectfully

REPORT:

That they have duly and carefully considered the same and recommend that the same do pass:

A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

TO REQUEST THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION TO NAME THE BEAVER CREEK BRIDGE ON SOUTH CAROLINA HIGHWAY 97 IN KERSHAW COUNTY IN HONOR OF THE LATE SENIOR STATE TROOPER MICHAEL J. RAO AND TO INSTALL APPROPRIATE MARKERS OR SIGNS ON THE BRIDGE CONTAINING THE WORDS "SENIOR TROOPER MICHAEL J. RAO BRIDGE".

Be it resolved by the Senate, the House of Representatives concurring:

That the members of the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina request the Department of Transportation to name the Beaver Creek Bridge on South Carolina Highway 97 in Kershaw County in honor of the late Senior State Trooper Michael J. Rao and to install appropriate markers or signs on the bridge containing the words "Senior Trooper Michael J. Rao Bridge".

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the Department of Transportation.
