A BILL

TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION 1-3-55 SO AS TO PROVIDE THAT THE GOVERNOR SHALL CARRY OUT THE DUTIES OF HIS OFFICE BY APPLYING BIBLICAL PRINCIPLES BASED UPON HIS INTERPRETATION OF THE BIBLE.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION    1.    Article 1, Chapter 3, Title 1 of the 1976 Code is amended by adding:

"Section 1-3-55.    The Governor shall carry out the duties of the office and the administration of state government by applying biblical principles based upon his interpretation of the Bible."

SECTION    2.    This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
