A HOUSE RESOLUTION

TO SUPPORT THE THOROUGHBRED LIMEHOUSE, HIS TRAINER, TODD PLETCHER, HIS JOCKEY, JOSE SANTOS, AND DOGWOOD STABLE OWNER, COT CAMPBELL, IN THEIR BID FOR A WIN IN THE KENTUCKY DERBY, ON SATURDAY, MAY 1, 2004, IN LOUISVILLE, KENTUCKY AND TO EXTEND BEST WISHES TO THEM ON WINNING THE RACE.

Whereas, it is an honor that the State of South Carolina be represented at the Kentucky Derby and the members of the House of Representatives fully support the thoroughbred Limehouse and all of the work that the members of his team have done to get him to this big event; and

Whereas, with Jockey Jose Santos, Limehouse looks to capture one of the most prestigious titles in horse racing and their hard work and determination which has led them to this point will serve them well; and

Whereas, Dogwood Stable President Cot Campbell is already proud of Limehouse and he has faith that his horse will make South Carolina proud at Churchill Downs on Saturday; and

Whereas, despite the seemingly bad placement on the pole for the race, trainer Todd Pletcher believes that Limehouse will overcome this unfortunate situation and use the inside rail to his advantage throughout the race; and

Whereas, the members of the House of Representatives lend their full support to Limehouse and will be cheering for him and his team on Saturday afternoon, with the hopes that the Palmetto State will welcome home a champion. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:

That the members of the House of Representatives of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, support the thoroughbred Limehouse, his trainer, Todd Pletcher, his jockey, Jose Santos, and Dogwood Stable Owner, Cot Campbell, in their bid for a win in the Kentucky Derby, on Saturday, May 1, 2004, in Louisville, Kentucky, and extend best wishes to them in winning the race.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Cot Campbell of Dogwood Stable.
