A HOUSE RESOLUTION

TO CONGRATULATE AND COMMEND THE BYRDTOWN FIRE STATION IN HARTSVILLE, SOUTH CAROLINA, ON THE OCCASION OF ITS TWENTY-FIFTH ANNIVERSARY, TO THANK THE MEMBERS FOR ALL THEY DO FOR THEIR COMMUNITY, AND TO EXTEND BEST WISHES TO THE FIRE DEPARTMENT IN THE FUTURE.

Whereas, it is with great pleasure that we recognize South Carolinians who are dedicated to giving their time and energy to protect our communities and the people of the Palmetto State; and

Whereas, it is appropriate to recognize the great achievements and lasting service of the people who volunteer and risk their own lives to ensure the safety of the citizens of this State; and

Whereas, as it celebrates its Twenty-Fifth Anniversary, the efforts of the Byrdtown Fire Station Number Twelve in the Darlington County Fire District have not gone unappreciated; and

Whereas, led by Chief Larry Stegner and Assistant Chief Charles Ingram, the Byrdtown Fire Station boasts fourteen volunteers who are instilled with a sense of duty and unparalleled bravery as they selflessly risk their lives to protect the members of their community from the perils of fire; and

Whereas, the members of the House of Representatives are proud to take this opportunity to recognize the many accomplishments and contributions of the Byrdtown Fire Station on the momentous occasion of their Twenty-Fifth Anniversary and are happy to know that the citizens of South Carolina are safer because of their efforts. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:

That the members of the House of Representatives of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, congratulate and commend the Byrdtown Fire Station in Hartsville, South Carolina, on the occasion of its Twenty-Fifth Anniversary, thank the members for all they do for their community, and extend best wishes to the fire department in the future.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the Byrdtown Fire Station in Hartsville, South Carolina.
