A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

TO CONGRATULATE THE W. WYMAN KING ACADEMY KNIGHTS BASEBALL TEAM, OF BATESBURG IN SALUDA COUNTY, ON WINNING ITS SECOND CONSECUTIVE SOUTH CAROLINA INDEPENDENT SCHOOLS ASSOCIATION CLASS A STATE CHAMPIONSHIP TITLE AND TO COMMEND THE HARD WORK AND DETERMINATION OF THE PLAYERS, COACHES, STAFF, AND OTHER SCHOOL OFFICIALS FOR THEIR 2004 CLASS A STATE CHAMPIONSHIP WIN.

Whereas, the Knights ended the season with an outstanding record of twenty-six wins and one loss and won their third state title in four years; and

Whereas, starting pitcher Kirk McCants and relieving pitcher Sid Fallaw led the W. Wyman King Baseball Team to victory over Laurens Academy with their superb pitching; and

Whereas, under the exceptional leadership of Head Coach, Mike Prochaska, the Knights successfully defended their South Carolina Independent Schools Association Class A State Championship; and

Whereas, the members of the General Assembly are proud to honor the W. Wyman King Academy Baseball Team for winning the 2004 Class A State Championship. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:

That the members of the General Assembly, by this resolution, congratulate the W. Wyman King Academy Knights Baseball Team, of Batesburg in Saluda County, on winning its second consecutive South Carolina Independent Schools Association Class A State Championship Title and commend the hard work and determination of the players, coaches, staff, and other school officials for their 2004 Class A State Championship win.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to the W. Wyman King Academy Knights Baseball Team.
