TO CONGRATULATE MR. GERALD KEITH PRICE UPON BEING NAMED PRINCIPAL OF E. L. WRIGHT MIDDLE SCHOOL.
Whereas, the members of the General Assembly were very pleased to learn that Mr. Gerald Keith Price was named principal of E. L. Wright Middle School on May 11, 2004, after having served as interim principal since January 4, 2004; and
Whereas, Keith Price graduated from Clemson University in 1995 with a B. A. degree in secondary education cum laude; and
Whereas, he received his Masters degree in administration from the University of South Carolina in 2002 summa cum laude; and
Whereas, he has been married for eight years to his lovely wife, Janet, and they are the proud parents of three beautiful daughters: Amanda, age six; Camryn, age four; and Lauren, age two; and
Whereas, being a middle school principal is a great challenge for any school administrator given the ages of the students who attend middle school, and there is no doubt that this talented educator will do a great job; and
Whereas, Richland County School District Two is an outstanding school district blessed with fine teachers and administrators several of whom have won state awards, and Keith Price will continue this great tradition; and
Whereas, the members of the General Assembly, by this resolution, would like to recognize and congratulate Keith Price on his new appointment and extend to him every best wish as he undertakes this important job. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:
That the members of the General Assembly congratulate Mr. Gerald Keith Price upon being named Principal of E. L. Wright Middle School.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Mr. Price.
