TO REQUEST THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION TO NAME THE PORTION OF UNITED STATES HIGHWAY 17 FROM THE ASHLEY RIVER BRIDGE TO THE COASTAL RESEARCH AND EDUCATION CENTER IN CHARLESTON COUNTY THE "STATE REPRESENTATIVE ROBERT W. HARRELL, JR. HIGHWAY" AND TO INSTALL APPROPRIATE MARKERS OR SIGNS ALONG THIS PORTION OF HIGHWAY CONTAINING THE WORDS "STATE REPRESENTATIVE ROBERT W. HARRELL, JR. HIGHWAY".
Be it resolved by the Senate, the House of Representatives concurring:
That the members of the General Assembly request the Department of Transportation to name the portion of United States Highway 17 from the Ashley River Bridge to the Coastal Research and Education Center in Charleston County the "State Representative Robert W. Harrell, Jr. Highway" and to install appropriate markers or signs along this portion of highway containing the words "State Representative Robert W. Harrell, Jr. Highway".
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the Department of Transportation.
