TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION 59-127-90 SO AS TO AUTHORIZE THE SOUTH CAROLINA STATE UNIVERSITY BOARD OF TRUSTEES TO USE THE PROVISIONS OF CHAPTER 2, TITLE 28 (EMINENT DOMAIN) TO ACQUIRE LAND FOR WHICH FUNDS ARE PROVIDED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. Article 1, Chapter 127, Title 59 of the 1976 Code is amended by adding:
"Section 59-127-90. The trustees of South Carolina State University, in their discretion, may make use of the provisions of Chapter 2, Title 28 (Eminent Domain Procedure Act) to acquire land for which funds are provided by the General Assembly."
SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
