VERSIONS OF THIS BILL
TO PROVIDE THAT LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS OF THIS STATE AND RESIDENTS OF THIS STATE SERVING IN THE UNIFORMED SERVICES OF THE UNITED STATES KILLED IN THE LINE OF DUTY MUST BE AWARDED THE ORDER OF THE PALMETTO POSTHUMOUSLY.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. Law enforcement officers of this State and residents of this State serving in the uniformed services of the United States killed in the line of duty must be awarded the Order of the Palmetto posthumously.
SECTION 2. This joint resolution takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
